Gospel Reflections #584: Do I get in the way?

John 5:17 “Jesus answered, "My Father is working even now. My Father is working even now. Therefore I work also."

Both God the Father in Heaven and Jesus are working for the fulfillment of our salvation and for the harmony of the universe.

Sometimes we try to do the same, but instead we get in the way of God's work.

We are so busy trying to use our own strength for God's sake.

What we need to do is to sense God's work and wait to see how God will use us, and when God's call is presented to us, we should immediately agree to it.

If we agree to God's call even though we have no power, God will give us the wisdom and strength we need.

Our God is not a God who tells us what to do from afar, but a God who is God and works with us, or rather, leads us and works with us.

God is invisible to our eyes, but each of His promises in the Bible is visible to us. It is up to us to choose whether or not to believe those promises, but God is also working with us so that we can believe them.

That is our God.
