1 Peter 1:3 “Praise be to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who through his abundant mercy has made us newborn, and through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead has given us hope of being alive and well. For God, in his abundant mercy, has born us anew, and has given us a lively hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

God has not only freed us from sin, but has also given us new life.

He has given us hope that we too can be born again through Jesus' resurrection, not because we are enemies of His will, but because of His love and compassion for us, who are weak and can only be lost.

God had already prepared hope for us before we sought or desired Him.

He did not wait for us to make a free-will choice before He prepared a hope for us, but He has prepared everything for us and is waiting for us to make a choice.

If we should do something, we can respond to God's suggestion with our free will.

It is not forced or coerced; we are free to choose.

If we fail to choose God often enough, He will not give up on us or abandon us, but will remain involved with us until the very end, waiting for our response.

If we do not give up, it is never too late.
