John 1:11 "The Word came to his people, but they did not accept him."

God knows all our real needs and He is willing to give them to us at the cost of His life.

We need God, but we have our own image of God, and we put our hopes and expectations in that image.

So we pursue our idol gods, and we lose the value of the real God, both in history and today.

But we have the Bible. We can discover, confirm, and be convinced of God in the Bible.

And God shows us His presence in every way in our daily lives.

The more we know God through experience and through the Bible, the less we have the choice not to accept Him.

God does not say that our faith must be 100%. He says that our faith is only as good as the mustard seed.

And it is only God's power and God's love that can make our mustard seed faith into a tree-like faith.
