2 Timothy 3:12 "All who are united to Christ-Jesus and seek to live piety will be persecuted."
Jesus did not give His followers hope that they could aspire to worldly glory or wealth or live a life without trials. On the contrary, He asks them to follow Him on the path of conquest and condemnation.
The Bible says that persecution and condemnation await all of us who are filled with the Spirit of Christ.
God does not want us to fight it or win the victory over it, but to believe the promises of Jesus and allow God's character to be revealed in us through our trials and persecutions.
The final stage of the great struggle is whether we will manifest the character of Christ or the character of Satan.
It is our choice and the degree to which we relate to whom we relate.
God knows we have neither power nor wisdom. That is why God sends us the Holy Spirit and Jesus intercedes for us.
God works in our hearts as we believe in Him and entrust Him with His promises.
Satan persecutes God and those who are on His side, but God has already triumphed over the world. We are under God's victory.
We need faith and patience, but God is with us to the end and will not abandon us or lose hope.
