John 8:58 “Jesus said. 'I tell you plainly. Before Abraham was born, 'I AM.'"
God showed Abraham through Isaac that He existed before creation and that He was willing to make a greater and more wonderful sacrifice than man could ever make by giving His only Son to save sinners from eternal destruction.
This revealed that no man can make atonement for his sins on his own.
Through his own suffering, Abraham could see the mission of the Saviour's sacrifice.
God shows us what He has planned for us and how He is working in our eyes.
If we look to Him and ask Him, He will tell us in His way when we need it.
Even if we don't understand or accept what God has shown us, the Holy Spirit is working in us to help us trust in a God who has known and loved us since before we were born, a God who is responsible for guiding and remaking us to the very end.
We are privileged to run to God and entrust ourselves to him, without worrying or suffering on our own.
Let us pray and ask God to enable us to trust Him completely, knowing more and more how privileged we are.
God is willing to love us!
