Isaiah 40:29 "He gives strength to the weary and great power to those who have lost momentum."

God knows all our weaknesses and our weariness.

He never tells us to work harder.

God's provision is sufficient to help us in our weakness, and we are given every invitation to come to Christ just as we are.

Christ interceded for our salvation by His cross and death. And He still intercedes for us as the victor over the battle.

We are not to stand in our own strength, but we are to be prepared to stand in Jesus' healing, mercy, encouragement, support, and fulfillment.

So, instead of beating ourselves up, let us run to Jesus and let him hide us there, where we can be immersed in God's love.

Once we are set up so that we can get up, Jesus will gently ask us, "What are you doing?" and call us to the work of God.

Jesus is with us in our midst.

Let us share the joy of experiencing not our accomplishments, not our good deeds, but each of Jesus' works that are at work in us.
