John 11:21 “Martha said to Jesus, "Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. 'Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.'"

These are the words that Martha said to Jesus when He came on the fourth day after Lazarus' death.

These words were accompanied by the question, "Why didn't you come earlier? It seems to me that the implication is, "My brother is already dead.

But Martha then says to Jesus, "But I know that whatever you ask, God will grant it.

We believe in God's power as well, but we don't always respond to the events in front of us by asking, "Why God? Aren't you God Almighty? We believe in God's power as well, but there are times when we say to the events before us, "Why God?

There are so many absurdities in our world that we sometimes think God is doing them.

Jesus told Martha, "He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And he who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this? He said.

After God has given us His promises, He asks us if we believe them.

We either believe God's promises or we do not, and we either live a life of faith in God or we do not.

We are now being trained to look to God, not to our immediate safety and security.

This is a daily exercise of faith.

We don't even have the power to believe in God, but all we have to do is ask God to let us believe, and this is what putting God first means.

We have no power, but by choosing God, He leads us to perfection!

This is God's work, a miracle, the perfection of His love.
