Habakkuk 2:3 “For there is another vision for the appointed time. It hastens toward the time of the end. It will not deceive men. Even if it is late, wait for it. It will come, and it will not delay."

Habakkuk, one of the prophets of the gospel, impatiently and earnestly and genuinely seeks answers from God as to why God allows sinners to prosper and saints to suffer.

To Habakkuk, God gives him assurance of His purpose regarding Judah and then points out Habakkuk's need for humility and faith.

God then begins to count the sins of Babylon. God was well aware of Babylon's treachery and wickedness, and He gave Habakkuk assurance that God still has dominion over the affairs of the earth.

We have a tendency not to believe God's Word unless we can understand it in our own minds. We also do not have the tenacity and passion to ask God to teach us what we do not understand until we do.

God is faithful to respond to human thoughts like Habakkuk's and show us what we need to know.

And He shows us powerful convictions like this Word.

God does not deceive us, and He does not make promises that He will not keep.

He assures us that there will be no delay.

Let us not be swayed by what we see and hear, but let us exercise our faith to the fullest.

We may not understand all of God's will, but when we confront God with a pure and earnest heart, God will surely respond to us. We give up too easily, but God never gives up.
