Luke 2:6,7 “But while they were in Bethlehem, Mary gave birth to her first child in the fullness of the moon, and wrapped him in cloths and laid him in a manger. For there was no place for them to stay in the inn."
Nowadays, Christmas is celebrated all over the world.
And we all give gifts to someone and expect to feel warm and fuzzy in our own thoughts.
This may be the Christmas of the world, but surely we celebrate Christmas with the hope of sharing the love we have received from God.
As a major event in the Christian church, we have various programs for Christmas, but more than that, we should remember that Christmas is the greatest opportunity to replace selfish expectations with altruistic benevolence.
God's love is an outward love, a love that focuses on our salvation and not on Himself at all, to the very end.
That is why we were saved, forgiven, healed, pitied, and made alive.
This is not given only to Christians, but to all humankind.
As God has done for us, let us share the love God has given us with our family, friends, and passersby who do not know Him.
Even if we don't have gifts to give, our kind and warm greeting, a word, or a smile will suffice.
God responds faithfully and sincerely to our "desire" to express outward love in Him.
Our Jesus is not a birthday star, but a God who is always at the bottom, loving us with a mission to serve.
And He is still serving us today.
