1 John 4:1 "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but see if it is from God. For many false prophets are coming into the world."
The Bible says that false prophets will abound in the end times.
We also hear many things about the end times here and there.
We may be led to focus on end-time events.
We may receive information that is new and overlapping with our current personal concerns as if God has given it to us and we are excited about it.
We are faced with a global scam.
Whether we receive information on an emotional level or seek to corroborate it will depend on the level of our relationship with God.
For this reason, it is important to have a daily relationship with God.
Just as we want to be with the person we love every day and talk to them all the time, we need to have the same kind of relationship with God in order to build an intimate relationship with Him.
Rather than thinking about how to build a relationship with God, we can discover from the Bible who God is, how He works, what His promises are, what He will never do, etc., so that we will feel closer to God and want to listen to what He says to us. And we want to get to know God better.
We will want to know God better, and we will want to read the Bible.
As we connect and deepen our relationship with God in the coming age, He will guide us to discern what is right and what is false.
God never abandons or gives up on His children!
