Matthew 12:34 "Out of the mouth of man comes what overflows his heart."

In general, words are an effective way to express ourselves.

This verse suggests that the words we say and the way we speak communicate who we are to others. They reflect many of our inner feelings, emotions, priorities, and desires.

We think we are good at hiding what is in our hearts, but there are things we cannot hide with our words, attitudes, or facial expressions.

God knows the depths of our hearts, and He knows what is in our hearts.

The best way for us to express God in the world is to communicate, but this does not mean talking about the Bible or God, but expressing His character.

God's character is love, forgiveness, mercy, kindness, sacrifice, and compassion.

Words also affect the person speaking them.

If there is a complaint in our hearts, we will complain in our words, but when we hear it ourselves, it will cause more complaining in our hearts, and we will not be able to take our eyes off of it.

On the other hand, speaking God's promises, gratitude, and praise can increase gratitude, praise, and joy in our hearts.

We Christians are not thankful because we are happy; we are happy because we are thankful.

We should choose to be thankful instead of feeling happy.
