Joshua 24:15 “Joshua writes: "If you do not wish to serve God, then choose for yourselves this day what you wish to serve, whether the gods your ancestors served on the other side of the river, or the gods of the Amorites, where you now live. But I and my house will serve the Lord."
God has given us free will.
Free will does not mean that we have to choose God, but that we can choose God or not God.
However, we reap the results of our choices, so if we choose God, we will reap the results of choosing God, and if we do not choose God, we will reap the results of not choosing God.
If we do not choose God, He forgives us the consequences, but that is not the end of the story.
God gives us the opportunity to choose His side over and over again.
He does everything in His power to get us back, no matter what it takes.
The more we know Him, the more we want to approach Him and follow Him.
And we will continue to choose God with our own will.
