1 Kings 19:9 “Elijah went into the cave that was there and spent the night. And behold, there came a word of the Lord, saying, "Elijah, what are you doing here? Elijah, what are you doing here?"

Elijah was so afraid that he ran away and became like a burnt-out man, but God then rested him and fed him, leading to his recovery.

When Elijah had recovered, God called out to him, "What are you doing here?

God's words to Elijah, "What are you doing here?" were not a rebuke or a condemnation, but rather a call to sanity.

There are times when we, too, run away from our emotions and our weaknesses and become unsure of even our relationship with God, but at such times God heals us enough to have mercy on us and restore us in His love. He provides us with the strength to stand up, speaks to us, and gives us courage.

Our God is always looking for us, no matter what time of day or who we are, and He speaks to us so that we can take a step forward.

Therefore, we should choose to connect with Him, no matter what time of day it is!
