Philippians 4:7 “And the peace of God, which surpasses all human understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts through Christ Jesus."

The word "so" refers to the preceding verse, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, with thanksgiving, give thanks. But in everything, with thanksgiving, with prayer and supplication, present your requests to God.

If we do this, God will work in our hearts in Jesus. God works in our hearts, not our actions. God works in our hearts and influences our actions because we accept what He works in our hearts.

No matter what is placed before us, we rejoice not in "the circumstances" but in "God's action" because we believe God's promises and are confident that He will do what He says He will do.

Paul says to us emphatically, "You are always in the Lord, and you will always be in the Lord.

Paul says to us emphatically, "Rejoice ye always in the Lord. I repeat, rejoice."

Whatever our circumstances, the peace of God will protect us if we keep our eyes focused where they should be.

This peace of God and hope in His promises is the driving force of our life!
