Revelation 3:21 “He who gains the victory, I will make him sit with me on my throne. Just as I have triumphed and sat down with my Father on his throne."
The victory referred to here does not mean that we have won over Satan, but that we have believed and followed Jesus by faith to the end.
By faith means that we faithfully and sincerely use the gift of faith that God has given us, and that we choose to accept Jesus as our Savior by God's work and power, believe in Him, and follow Him to the end, never by our own strength to keep our faith.
The secret of our success, writes Ellen White, is in seeking power and grace in His name.
If we accept God, Christ will become one with our thoughts and intentions, uniting our hearts and thoughts to His will, so that when we follow Him, we merely carry out our own impulses influenced by Him.
God leads us to victory. Our God is our Founder and Finisher!
