Revelation 3:18 “Then I exhort you. Buy from me gold refined by fire, that you may become wealthy. Buy from me white garments to wear, that you may not be ashamed of your nakedness; and medicine for your eyes, that you may be able to see.

These are the words given to the church in Laodecia.

God says that Laodecia is neither cold, nor hot, nor lukewarm, so she spits it out of her mouth.

We are also told that Laodeciah says that it is rich, prosperous, and without want, but it does not realize that he is actually wretched, merciful, poor, and naked.

These are not words of rebuke from God to Laodecia, but words of love.

God clearly tells Laodecia what she lacks and what she needs.

The gold refined by fire is "faith and love," the white robe is "Jesus' robe of righteousness," and the medicine for the eyes is "the Holy Spirit.

We are told to buy these things from God. And for free!

We are creatures who don't know anything about ourselves. God gives us awareness, and once we realize who we really are, He tells us what to do next.

When we ask, God gives generously.

It is not a question of what state we are in, but what we see our need and what we ask God for.

God is waiting for us to see our need, and He is always there waiting for us to ask for what we really need.
