Chronicles 20:20 "And Joshaphat stood and said. Hear, O inhabitants of Judah and Jerusalem. Trust in the Lord your God. Trust in the Lord your God, and you shall surely live. Trust in the LORD your God, and in his prophets, and you shall have victory. Trust in him, and you will have victory."
When the people around Joshaphat came to fight against him, he was afraid and turned his face to the Lord to ask for help, and he made the whole nation of Judah break the fast. And the whole nation of Judah sought the Lord's help.
But the Lord said, "Do not be afraid because of this great army. Do not tremble. For this is not your battle, but the battle of the Lord. For the Lord is with you."
With this assurance, Joshaphat uttered these words and had them sing songs and praise to the Lord.
And when they began to sing and praise, the Lord sent an ambuscade against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had attacked Judah, and they were defeated.
We have no one else to rely on but God.
And God takes our events and fights on our behalf, not as our battle, but as God's own battle.
We express our praise and joy in peace and confidence, that is all.
