I Corinthians 2:14 “The natural man does not accept the things that belong to the Spirit of God. For to him it is foolishness and he does not understand. For it is only by the Spirit that he can judge."
We humans put reason before faith.
This world is a world where we are dependent on our own strength due to the influence of sin, so we are in such a state that we are not in frequency with God at all. That's why we don't understand what the Bible says and don't think it is valuable.
Jesus took such a state of affairs and entered into the mediation of reconciliation between God and us through the cross and gave us the Holy Spirit.
We have been given the gift of faith by God through believing in Jesus' cross and resurrection.
Therefore, we can receive God's Word from the Bible beyond reason.
Believing" is not an easy thing for us to say, but "believing" is not something we do with our intellect, but something we receive with our hearts.
Believing" does not mean that we believe because we understand, or that we do not believe because we do not understand, but that we accept what our Savior gives us.
This is impossible in the relationship between God and us human beings, and Jesus is always indispensable between God and us. We also need the Holy Spirit between Jesus and us human beings.
And both Jesus and the Holy Spirit are always given to us when we need them and ask God for them.
God knows our weakness and the effects of sin.
He knows that we are weak and affected by sin, and He knows that we cannot fully understand the things that belong to the spirit. But God surrounds us with His Spirit so that we can understand and accept as much as we need, when we need it. We are given an environment in which we can receive the things that belong to the Spirit of God without fail in the Spirit of God. After that, it is up to us to make our own choices.
