Ephesians 4:4,5The body is one, the spirit is one. It is as though you are invited to partake of the one hope. The Lord is one, faith is one, baptism is one."

Just as God is Trinity, our body, mind, and intellect are our "one" that cannot be separated.

Just as we cannot trust a person whose words and actions do not match, if we have more than one self within us, we will also be confused, tormenting and hurting ourselves.

We are confused by the gap between the old self and the new self within us as we have faith.

At that time, we have to let go of the old self that we have cultivated and become accustomed to. We cannot become one with God unless we nurture the new, unknown self.

The more we learn about who God is, the more we choose to surrender to Him who has given us a new self, even though we are shaken by our old self.

When we choose, we are not immediately changed, but we are given peace by trusting God and letting Him take care of the outcome.

In this way, we become "one" within us, and we are allowed to become "one" with God as well.

It is only God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit who make us aware of this; and there is no one else who can transform us.
