Isaiah 55:11 "Thus shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth, and shall not return to me in vain. It will accomplish what I desire, and it will surely fulfill the mission I have given it."
Just as rain falls from heaven but does not return to heaven, this Word shows us that God's word and plans will be fulfilled.
That is, they will be fulfilled completely unaffected by our good deeds or our many earthly services, achievements, honors, and efforts.
For our part, we are to be used by God to help Him accomplish what He desires, which is also not a matter of our ability, but His unilateral will.
It is not a matter of the quality of life we lead in this world but how we represent God, and God is always trying to represent who He is through us.
To show God's glory in this world is not to show how wonderful we have become through Him but to show His character in us, even if no one recognizes or admires us.
This is only possible when we are connected to God and allowed to live in His love, joy, gratitude, and hope.
It is not we who accomplish this, but God who uses us!
