Romans 8:1,2 “Therefore, now he who is sealed with Christ Jesus is not condemned to sin, for the law of the Spirit, which brings life through Christ Jesus, has set you free from the law of sin and death. For the law of the Spirit, which brings life through Christ Jesus, has set you free from the law of sin and death."

We have the old self sitting there, steeped in the effects of the world of sin, and even though new life has been born in Jesus Christ, our inner self is still at war with the old self and the new self.

No matter how hard we try to do something about it in our own strength, it is impossible to remove the old self that has become like a part of us.

That is why Jesus comes to us and frees us from the law of sin and death through His death on the cross, and through His resurrection, a new spiritual life begins to grow within us.

However, because we have lived in the world of sin for so long, the values, ways, and thoughts of the world of sin have become the norm, and we often collide with our new self.

But Jesus is the Maker, Guide, and Finisher of our lives.

The power of the spirit works by looking at what Jesus thought, what he did, what he valued, etc., and by our desire to be like him.

And the new self will grow and grow, and the old self will leave because it no longer has a place.

That is the law of the Spirit.

Let's use the energy we fight with as energy to look up to God and talk with Him.

Then, we will have the certainty of being united with God.
