Gospel Reflections #495: God's "great turnaround goodbye home run"!

Philippians 1:6 “I am confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will accomplish it until the day of Christ-Jesus."

We rarely know when God began to work in us.

God was working in us long before we realized it.

Even after we come to faith, we are so focused on our own lack of growth that we don't recognize God's steady work. This often causes us to see God's promises for the future only dimly, and we become more anxious than believing.

God offers us the assurance of believing in Him every day. How we handle it changes what we see.

Our God is our Founder, Guide, and Finisher.

We only receive what God gives us.

Our God is a God of great reversal. He is a God who can turn things that seem hopeless in our eyes from black to white. No matter what happens, let us believe in God's "great turnaround goodbye home run"!
