Acts 20:37,38 “And all the people wept bitterly, and embraced Paul's neck and kissed him. They were very sad, especially since Paul said that he would never see his own face again. The people went to see Paul off to the ship."
Paul is convinced of his "course to run" and communicates it as his very attitude toward life.
We may often feel anxious or uncomfortable about "change" and reject change.
But Paul is convinced of his mission and accepts change toward it.
There may come a time when we, too, are shown that we must "go with God into the wilderness" from "God's resting place.
Paul was also able to accept his mission or take action not by his own strength, but as a result of Paul's obedience to the work of the Holy Spirit.
We, too, may face wildernesses on our journey to God, but at those times, we should keep looking up to God so that we can honestly follow the Holy Spirit's guidance and ask for His guidance so that we can choose God in our thoughts rather than making choices based on our feelings.
When we choose God, He will give us the assurance and peace that He will be with us. By looking up to God instead of looking at others, God will give us more grace than we need!
Let us not be afraid of the fast-paced changes in front of us, but jump into them with God.
God will never abandon us.
