1 Samuel 2:19 “His mother sewed a little coat for him (Samuel) and delivered it every year when she and her husband came up to offer the annual sacrifice."

Hannah, who was unable to have children, came to God and prayed that if He gave her a son, she would give him to the Lord for the rest of her life.

Hannah gave birth to a son, faithfully kept her promise to God, and gave him to the Lord.

Hannah watched over her child from afar, making clothes for him as he grew and delivering them.

This is the unconditional love of a mother.

Hannah was faithful to God and faithful to her child.

This is what it means to respond to God's love.

Before we were faithful to God, God was faithful to us, faithfully involved with us, faithfully working with us, and faithfully loving us.

When we realize this, we want to respond faithfully to God as Hannah did.

This is not a compulsion or obligation, but a joyful choice in our experience with God.
