Genesis 8:22 “As long as the earth endures, neither sowing nor reaping, neither cold nor heat, summer nor winter, day nor night, shall it cease.

This is a part of what the Lord said in Noah's heart after the flood, when Noah built an altar and offered burnt offerings to the Lord.

God made a covenant here with Noah.

I will never again curse the earth because of man, for I am the LORD your God. For the thoughts of man are evil in his heart from his infancy. I will never again destroy all living things, as I have done. After God said in his heart, "I will never again destroy all living things as I have done this time," we have today's words.

Noah was saved not because he had not sinned, but because he believed and obeyed God.

After the flood, God saw the seeds of the effects of sin in Noah's saved family, but He made a covenant with them. This is because God is a God who never changes His promise to save those who believe in and follow Him to the end.

God says that we will continue to toil to live in this world under the influence of sin and that we will be adversely affected by the natural environment, yet God still wants to bless us sinners, save us, and deepen His relationship with us, and He will do every work to make this happen.

God's covenant is a unilateral covenant. If we break the covenant, God will not break the covenant.

God is the One who is always faithful and works faithfully with us so that we may know and encounter the real God.

The more we know about who God is, the more we want to be faithful and sincere to Him. This is because God's new life is beginning to be born in us.

God does not demand that we follow Him when we have not fully encountered Him. He leads us to follow Him only after we encounter Him and believe in Him.
