Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are those who make peace, for they shall be called children of God."

What is the state of peace?

We may imagine peace as a state in which there are no problems, everyone gets along, and there are no complaints or grievances.

Jesus, with His life, created reconciliation between us sinners and God.

I felt that those who realize peace are those who, like Jesus, are willing to forgive, have compassion, heal, encourage, and sacrifice so that they can move forward in peace.

This is not something we humans can do.

But we have God's image embedded in our new life through our faith in Jesus. Every time we put it to work, the image is activated.

How we put it to work is through our prayers and intercession.

When we are made aware by the Holy Spirit of places and people in need of peace, we can bring it to God and ask for peace.

Such a relationship with God leads to the realization of peace, and we can be called children of God who have God's character.

God's image in us will grow and grow in our relationship with God, and we will bear God's fragrant fruit, not by our efforts, but by God's grace!
