Gospel Reflections #465: Just Cry and Run to God

Psalm 130:1,2 “From the depths of the abyss, I call to you, O Lord. Hear my voice, O Lord. Listen to my voice as I mourn and pray."

The Bible shows us who God is. It also describes who we are as human beings.

We are reminded of what God has done for us in our experiences.

Sharing our experiences helps us to know God more deeply and more broadly.

The more we know God, the more we realize that we cannot live apart from Him.

We also realize that we are not looking toward God, so we admit it, turn toward God, and confess it.

We confess that we have turned away from God, and we turn toward Him. But I always want to turn to You. Help me.This is repentance.

This is repentance, and like today's scripture, we cry out in prayer of lamentation.

God never fails to hear our deepest laments.

Our God hears our cries and opens the way for us no matter how many times we make the same mistakes.

God does not want us to never fail; He wants us to run to Him every time we fail.

Therefore, we can cry out to God anytime and as many times as we want.
