Psalm 119:105 ”Your Word is the light of my path, a lamp to light my steps."
We are born into a world under the influence of sin and have lived our lives taking for granted the status of the world we live in. But when we encountered God's light, we see the world for what it is, yet we are led to be attracted to God's light, and here we are today.
We met God, were freed from our sins through the cross of Jesus, and were allowed to live in the new light through His resurrection.
This alone is a great blessing for us, but God has even greater blessings in store for us.
God's Word is the light that shows us the way. Walking that path means that we live in the Word.
To live by the Word is to live in God's love and to love God and others.
As we receive God's love, we are enabled to share it with those around us.
We are also enabled to express gratitude and joy to God as a response to His love.
However, I feel that we often stop at responding to God. Perhaps we have taken our gratitude and joy toward God for granted.
What does it mean to love God?
I have come to realize that "obeying the Word" is "loving God.
When Abraham was called to the Promised Land, he did not follow the call because he understood and was ready for it, but because he believed in God.
How much we trust and love God will naturally be reflected in our free will.
Obeying the Word" is not a question of whether we can or cannot do something, but of our free will, whether we want to or not.
When we offer God our will to do something that we cannot do, but want to do, the Holy Spirit works in us to bring us to action.
And when we do, God gives us extraordinary grace and shows us clear light.
The road to God is never smooth, but it is full of blessings, grace, joy, hope, peace, and healing.
Please take a bold step forward and share the light you experience there!
