Heb. 12:1,2 “Therefore, since we are also surrounded by such a great crowd of witnesses, let us also lay aside every burden and entangling sin, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

Faith is given by God, and it is God who completes it.

If the journey from the gift of faith to its perfection is a race of faith, our race will have many spectators, some cheering us on and watching over us, and others watching us with a cold sense that we will fail along the way.

Our race of faith is not about showing the audience how cool we are and how hard we are trying, but it is about experiencing Jesus running with us and showing them through our image what Jesus has done for us.The course of our race is in the mountains and valleys.

The course of our race is a bumpy one, but with Jesus we move forward with more peace than suffering, more joy than fatigue, more hope and laughter than gnashing of teeth.

God is the Finisher of our race of faith!

We simply run with Jesus in the yoke, sprinkling the spectators with the love and joy we have received from Him. With Jesus, we can all run the race of faith to the end.
