John 15:12 “I am the LORD your God, and you shall love one another, just as I have loved you. This is my law.
How is God loving you?
This word is written as Jesus' new definition of the law.
We are given this law as those who have already been forgiven through the atonement of Jesus' cross.
God has not given us a list of commands, but has shown us what love actually is. And without love, the Bible tells us, everything is worthless and of no use.
Many Christians seek satisfaction through receiving. Many in the church seek satisfaction through magnifying themselves. But the Bible teaches the opposite.
True happiness is about giving, losing, being forced to sacrifice, not being able to do as you please, serving, and dying,
Like a mother whose life is deprived of freedom morning, noon, night, and midnight because of her baby, a person who is content and happy to love and serve someone else is a person who has grasped true happiness.
Before we can love one another, Jesus tells us to experience that He loves us. We can ask God for it if we are not sure about it, and we can ask Him to let us experience it if we do not feel like we are experiencing it.
We can only love one another when we know how much Jesus loves us.
Love is Jesus himself, so let's talk, ask, seek, share, laugh, have fun, and rejoice in God's love with Jesus every day!
