Exodus 23:7 “You must avoid speaking falsely. Do not kill the innocent and the righteous. I will not make the wicked to be righteous."
In Exodus 20, the Lord gave the Ten Commandments through Moses. Then, in chapters 21 through 23, the Lord, through Moses, gave the stipulations by which the judges were to judge the incidents that occurred among Israel. And it is a specific application of the Ten Commandments.
In this passage, it means that we are not to hurt others by making false statements to defend ourselves or to demean them.
I believe that God does not consider those who behave badly to be evil, but rather those who willingly turn away from Him.
The Ten Commandments show us what kind of person God is, and the various stipulations that make them concrete are likewise expressions of God's character.
We cannot obey the Ten Commandments in our own strength, but we know what God is like through the Ten Commandments, and we know what kind of people we are in light of the Ten Commandments.
And when we are made aware of who we actually are, we are transformed into a reflection of God's character by repeatedly running to the One who created us and to Jesus, the only one who can heal our illnesses, to be healed and given the most extensive treatment.
The "blameless" are those who believe, accept, and surrender to Jesus, and the "righteous" are those who have received His righteousness.
We do not have to defend ourselves.
By surrendering to Jesus,
Jesus' protection.
