Gospel Reflections #420: It's God who takes the full responsibility

Ezekiel 33:6 “But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the horn, and the sword comes without warning to the people, and even one life is taken from among them, even if he dies because of his own sin, I will hold the watchman responsible for the blood."

God again commissioned Ezekiel to prophesy.

This scripture says, "If Ezekiel gives the wicked a warning from God, it is up to him whether he turns or not, but if Ezekiel does not give the wicked a warning, he will not have a chance to turn and will go on his way to death. And Ezekiel, who did not give the warning, will be held responsible for his blood".

And here Ezekiel is referred to as a watchman who, seeing the enemy attacking on the city walls, sounds the horn to warn them.

We, like Ezekiel, have a role to play in preaching the gospel.

But we are not responsible for " making" those who hear the gospel believe it. Whether they believe it or not is their own choice.

God does not hold those who preach the gospel responsible for anything more than their own choice.

We are taken to the next stage only after we are rested, healed, and filled with God's love. Then, God can use us to share the joy of being with Him.

This is never something we do on our own.

With God's guidance, we receive God's callings one by one.

When we receive God's call, He takes full responsibility for it.

God knows that we are weak and lazy. He then nurtures us, guides us, places us in hope and joy, and calls us with everything ready.

God is going to use us in abundance, weak, imperfect, and inadequate, to save all people.

All we do is not "act" but only "choose" our will.

Once we direct our wills to God, He will bring the rest to our minds and then to our hearts and then to our actions.

Our God is an omniscient and omnipotent God.
