Daniel 6:21 “As they approached the cave, the king called out to Daniel, his voice full of anxiety: "Daniel, Daniel, servant of the living God, did the God you have always worshipped have power to deliver you from the lion?'
What kind of God do you believe in?
Is it "the God who has power to deliver you from lions"?
We may unconsciously express our God in our attitudes and words when we are faced with unexpected events or hardships.
Do we become so anxious and fearful that we are unable to maintain our composure, or do we surrender our anxieties and fears to God and try to regain our composure by relying on His promises?
We are weak people even if we believe and follow God.
If we believe in God, it does not mean that we will receive God-like power to overcome unexpected events and hardships.
It is not hardships and events that crush us, but the emotional anxiety and fear that accompanies them. They separate us from God.
Therefore, we need God, and we receive extraordinary peace from God by relying on Him, hanging on to Him, and trusting in His promises.
God works in our "hearts," not in our "events.
Just as the King called Daniel a "servant of the living God," we want to be so united with God that we can be so called.
