Proverbs 14:12 "Though man's path ahead may seem straight, the end may be the road to death."

We unconsciously hope that the course of our life in this world will be straight and unimpeded, that it will go as we wish.

We believe that happiness is always ahead.

But God does not look at our lives in that way. Instead, He looks at where we are, what we see, and He provides a path for us that will ensure our arrival to Him.

The paths of our lives are not our own, but God's. It is not always a smooth road. It is not always a smooth road, but the important thing is not the condition of the road, but where it leads.

At least once in our lives we find ourselves in a situation where we cannot move forward, or we want to stop and look back. These times may be difficult and painful for us, but they may also be times when God wants to talk with us slowly.

God is not pleased that we are on the road to death; rather, He is saddened and cares so much that He cannot stand still. He is working in all kinds of ways to turn us around.

When we become aware of God's work, we feel uncomfortable with the way we are. Finally, we look up at the path to God.

The path to God may be devoid of worldly accolades, but it is strewn with peace, healing, joy, and hope that is not of this world.

We are to check it every Sabbath and ask God to make the necessary corrections so that we can realize how joyful and joy-filled our walk with Him is.
