John 12:32 "When I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men to myself.
This is a scene before Jesus went to the cross.
The moment is approaching when God will fulfill His declaration of war against Satan.
The "lifted up from the earth" referred to in this verse is the crucifixion.
At this cross, Satan's defeat will be decisive.
Satan "strikes the heel" of Jesus, and Jesus "crushes the head of Satan."
The expression "crushed/strikes heel" of Jesus indicates "the cross," but Jesus' death is only "crushed heel," indicating that it is not a defeat.
Even "crushed heels" would require us to experience a break with our Heavenly Father and to experience the greatest suffering for our sins.
But Jesus clearly says in this Word, "When He goes to the cross, all will be drawn to Him.
It is up to us to believe and accept this.
But even the power we have to believe in Jesus is given to us by God through the Holy Spirit.
We are definitely drawn to Jesus.
Even if we don't feel it, even if we don't respond to it, we are drawn to Jesus because of His cross.
The cross of Jesus is the revelation of God's greatest love.
Let us receive that love firmly and rejoice in the victory of God's declaration of war!
Jesus was "lifted up from the earth" to put us in joy.
