1 Thessalonians 4:17 “Then we who are still alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. In this way we will be with Him forever."

Some of those newly brought to faith in Thessalonica had fallen into a false belief concerning those who had died after their conversion. They wanted everyone to witness Christ's return, but they were very saddened that believers who were dying one after another would not be able to see the second coming.

Paul wrote to the Thessalonians by the Holy Spirit to correct their erroneous beliefs and to give them hope.

Our God does not overlook our fears and errors in faith.

He speaks to us by the Holy Spirit, by friends of faith, and by mysterious means.

God is always at work in our little doubts, fears, and unbeliefs.

God always gives us peace and hope.

In our earthly life, we may not be able to receive all that God has for us because we have only a dim view of Him, but He will continue to give us peace and hope until the time when He meets us face to face.

So we can look forward to the time of his second coming.

And we can meet Jesus in the eternal joy of never being separated from God again and living together with Him.
