Malachi 4:1 “Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD of hosts, when it will burn like a furnace. Then all the proud and all the evil-doers will be as straw. And the day of their coming will consume them, and they will leave neither root nor branch."

We may feel terrible when we read these words.

We will ultimately be divided into two. This is not God dividing us into two, but by our choice.

God has revealed Himself over and over again to the high-minded and to those who do evil, pouring out His love. Yet, for those who do not turn toward God, God can only respect their free will.

We often think of God as a ruthless God, but if you had cancer in your body and your doctor told you to leave some of it behind because it would be a pity to destroy it, how would you feel? How would you feel? You might continue to be anxious or lose trust in your doctor. You might not trust the doctors. You might not trust the cancer to run rampant in your body.

God will eliminate all sorrow, suffering, anxiety, and worry at the source.

At the same time, God does not want to see those who have not chosen Him suffer eternally. There is nothing God can do for those who have not chosen Him, but in His mercy, He can give them "perfect sleep."

We will know in heaven that what God does is often incomprehensible to us, but it is all a manifestation of "God is love.

Then we will also know God's extraordinary love, and we will be filled with wonder, thanksgiving, and joy with praise.
