Gospel Reflections #376: God surely prepares our place with Him

Revelation 21:2 “And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband, to leave God.”

God's promises to us do not end at the Second Coming; God is preparing the Holy City.

God has seen us human beings as victims of sin since Adam and Eve sinned, and He has declared war against Satan and promised our salvation.

And it has all been fulfilled.

God has been faithful to fulfill His promises to us.

It is not because we are good Christians or because of our good deeds or efforts.

God simply loves us and carries through with His desire to live with us.

The Holy City is a place where God and we can live together, live together, and be one with Him.

We cannot even imagine it yet, but we will surely live in a joy like we have never experienced before.

But before that, we have the experience of being with God in our daily lives, even here now, and we should look forward to the new Jerusalem with that joy.

Every day of our lives is a rehearsal of the joy of living with God. Let us look forward with excitement to the real thing and enjoy many rehearsals now!
