Gospel Reflections #373: It's all What Jesus Does

Ephesians 2:14 “Indeed, Christ is our peace. He has joined the two together, and in his own flesh he has broken down the wall of hostility between us."

Jesus broke down the wall of hostility between God and us, separated by sin.

Jesus also broke down the wall of separation between Jew and Gentile so that the gospel of God could reach us as well.

Jesus broke down the walls of our old self and incorporated new life into us.

Jesus has given us joy and hope so that we can reveal God to those who do not yet know Him.

We are reminded by the work of the Holy Spirit that we can do nothing without Jesus.

Jesus is the only bridge between us and the people around us, between us and God.

The more we learn about who God is and who Jesus is, the more we realize that God prepares and arranges everything that we cannot do.

And that turns into gratitude, joy, hope, and confidence. We will know how miraculous these things were for us when we go to heaven. At that time, we will be showered with wonder, gratitude, and joy again.
