Psalm 45:12,13 12 The city of Tyre will come with a gift, people of wealth will seek your favor. 13 All glorious is the princess within her chamber; her gown is interwoven with gold.

This is said to be the song of the king's wedding feast, expressing the joy of the bride.

It probably represents the moment when we can be face to face with God.

If Jesus is the bridegroom and we are the bride, He will dress us in the best wedding clothes in heaven.

When the prodigal son returned to his father, the father was the first to notice and ran over to him to put on the jacket that the father was wearing.

When we believed in and accepted Jesus, we too were covered with His robe of righteousness.

The father rejoiced at the return of his prodigal son, held a feast, and joyfully introduced his son in front of everyone.

The prodigal son was then clothed in the best clothes in the house.

We, too, will be introduced to Jesus with confidence because He has defended us in heaven.

Then we will be clothed in the finest clothes in heaven.

Our return to God means that we will have that much joy in heaven.

It is not because we are great, or because we have worked hard on earth, or because we have done so many good things on earth.

It is just that we have been touched, tasted, and immersed in God's unconditional love, and we respond to it with joy.

God delights in that kind of relationship with us.

And we will soon be able to meet Jesus face to face.
