Gospel Reflections #369: Our Healing is Paid by Jesus's Blood

Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, but are justified freely by his grace through the redemptive work of Christ Jesus."

We have the disease of sin. God does not judge us for having the disease of sin.

Rather, God has provided a remedy. That remedy is Jesus. That remedy is God's Word, the Spirit of prophecy, and the light that God has given us from heaven.

We may not even realize that we have the disease of sin. So we may not even need a medicine to cure it.

God is doing everything to save us from the sickness of sin.

God shows us the pain of our sin disease, the diagnosis, the cure, and the medicine we need.

God heals our sicknesses. But if we reject God's work, we are rejecting the special remedy from God.

God does not give us the cure in exchange for our possessions, abilities, excellence, or effort to obtain it. It is free, and if we need it and ask for it, God is willing to give as much as we are willing to give.

Our sickness of sin is not a guilty verdict, but if we refuse God's special remedy, it is our guilty verdict on ourselves.

God does not leave anyone alone who seeks Him.

God never abandons or forsakes those who ask Him.

That is God's grace and God's love.

God heals and restores us in His love if we ask and only if we ask.
