Gospel Reflections #359: Our Faith is About God's gift of Faith

Romans 5:1,2 "Thus being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, and because of this Christ we are brought by faith into the present grace, boasting in the hope of the glory of God."

We may have wondered why Jesus died to bear the sins of all mankind and His salvation is applicable to all, yet all mankind is not saved.

Ellen White wrote: "Faith is a gift of God. But the power to exercise it is given to us."It is said. We believe in Jesus' sacrifice as our salvation and accept it, that is, we are "justified by faith" through our choice.

Martin Luther said, "We are justified by faith, not by our works, not by our qualities, not by our knowledge, but by our consent and firm trust in the mercy of God.

We can be raised in joy, peace, hope, and love by believing that through Jesus' death and resurrection on the cross, our sins are forgiven, we are given new life, and through His robe of righteousness, we have lost our separation from God.

Emotion-centered faith leads to rootless and unstable beliefs.

And action-centered faith leads to head-over-heels Christians with conceited and empty hearts.

We are justified not "by us" but "by Jesus" and His "faith that we believe in and accept Him.

God is reaching out to save all mankind. We can grasp God's hand by truly knowing who He is or what kind of God we believe in.

We should grab God's hand! God is waiting for us to willingly express our willingness to grasp God's hand, not because we want to, but because we can't help wanting to grasp His hand.

God loves you so much that He is willing to make every sacrifice to get you back.
