Exodus 20:3 “Thou shalt have no other god but Me."

This is the first article of the Ten Commandments.

This is not a compulsion or coercion to "obey me, your God.

This is meant to say, "You shall have no other god but Me, who protected you from that mighty Egyptian army, and you shall have Me alone as your God."

The Lord God recognizes human beings who do not qualify as covenant partners as covenant partners in "Jesus," and furthermore, He works through the "Holy Spirit" to make us worthy of God and able to live according to the Law. Therefore, we, as covenant partners, have decided that no other god can be our god.

Also, man was given reason and will. Without this, we are nothing more than puppets to be controlled by God. But the Lord gave us the freedom to choose. It is possible to choose rebellion against God. Nevertheless, the Lord made man a willful being.

Since knowing is necessary to choose, He gave us the power to know. Once we have that power to know God, we can make decisions and carry out our choices.

Even during the Exodus, God expressed Himself by first giving the Israelites the experience of deliverance. He has taken care to ensure that we understand.

As a covenant partner, the Lord God has chosen us, qualified us, and continues to protect and guide us as His children, and this will never change.

Who else could God be?

Let us rejoice, share, and praise our God with boldness, and set off fireworks of joy in choosing Him!
