Psalm 42:1 "As the deer, O God, gasp in the valleys, so does my soul yearn for you."

We are told that God has given us a cavity deep within our hearts that only He can fill.

We try to fill it with pleasure, wealth, comfort, fame, and power, or we try to fill it with our own efforts and achievements.

God has planned for us to encounter Him, and He is always working so that we can come into contact with Him and know Him.

And God fills the void in our hearts with His love, forgiveness, mercy, healing, rest, liberation, freedom, peace, joy, gratitude, and hope.

These things are not given to great Christians, but God gives them generously if we ask for them.

We have a shortsighted spiritual vision, so we often do not look to God for solutions to our immediate problems and difficulties, but the more we learn about who God is working in our lives, the more we seek His character, the more we learn about who God is working in our lives, the more we will seek His character.

Our hearts can only be filled with God's character.

Let us praise and rejoice in the God who fills our hearts today!
