Exodus 2:9 "The princess said, "Take the child and suckle him for me. The mother took the child and suckled him."
In order to prevent the overpopulation of the Israelites (descendants of Jacob) in Egypt at that time, Pharaoh ordered the Israelites to discharge their firstborn male children into the Nile River.
Moses' mother, Jochebed, hid the newborn Moses for three months to protect him. When she could no longer hide him, she put him in a papyrus basket and placed him in a bush in the Nile. Miriam, Moses' sister, kept an eye on him. When an Egyptian princess found Moses and seemed to love him, Miriam tactfully said, "Let's go find a nanny for him," and called Moses' mother, Jochebed, to be his nanny.
Thus, Jochebed, Moses' mother, was able to educate her son Moses for God for about 12 years.
She put all her efforts into instilling the fear of God, truth, and justice in Moses' heart, and prayed for his protection from all corrupt influences.
God has such a heart for us as she does for us, and her intercession on our behalf is perhaps the closest we can get to a mother's compassion in a tangible way.
Moses' mother knew what kind of person God was, so she probably did not raise her child with her own feelings, but with the best she could give to God's providence. She would not have been moved by a feeling of not wanting to let go of her child, but rather she would have known God and would only be educating him to surrender and obey.
God knows all the mother's thoughts, the mother's imperfections, and the mother's faith. God's blessings are not in proportion to our efforts.
When we are used in God's plan, God will handle us by giving ourselves to Him so that we can be used to the fullest there.
Instead of worrying about the future, we accept the situation we are given now and do the best we can.
God's love will surely be manifested in our specific situation.
God is a God who transforms the ordinary and mundane into extraordinary miracles.
We are in the midst of God's miracles every day!
