Luke 10:34 "He went up to him, poured oil and wine on his wounds, bandaged them, put him on his own ass, and took him to the inn to be cared for."
This is a line comes from the story of the Good Samaritan.
While some of us human beings may be naturally capable of such good behavior, most of us are motivated to do this to others because we have experienced being touched this way, or because we have had a very sad and painful experience because we wanted to be treated this way but were not able to. In the latter case, however, it may be that we are not able to do what we want to do because of our own feelings.
But when our own feelings tend to be stronger to do good, we may do it for ourselves rather than for the other person.
As we become more aware of what Jesus has done for us and what God is like for each of us, the more we realize how much God has done for us, the happier we become and the more eager we are to respond to God in some way. It is a time of thanksgiving, praise, joy, and gratitude.
It is gratitude, praise, joy, and hope. We can no longer carry this alone. And we want to share it with those around us. That action is today's Word.
There is nothing good in us. What can we do if we do not have? If we ask God for it, He will meet our needs and fill us with joy.
We want to share it with those around us because God fills us, that's all.
God's love creates a flow that changes the world!
