Isaiah 49:16 "Behold, I will inscribe you / in the palm of my hand. Thy walls are ever before me."
Jesus took all our sins to the cross with Him.
Jesus took us as His body and bore our sins.
Through his wounds, through his suffering, we have been saved and freed from our sins.
He hung on the cross so that we could live a new life, and then He rose again.
We are already saved through the cross of Jesus.
Salvation on the road to heaven does not begin here.
We are already living a new life through Jesus.
We should live in a way that makes more use of Jesus' sacrifice. It is not to suffer as Jesus did, but to willingly choose and use a new life, a new set of values, and a new thought process through Jesus. Also, our environment is set up so that we can experience Jesus' presence with us.
God says that there will be tribulation in this world. We cannot avoid them, but we can choose to live in the new life given to us by Jesus and in the joy of His presence.
It is our choice to look up to Jesus, it is our choice to be with Him, and it is our choice to live the new life.
We can have the desire to choose Jesus even if we cannot do good works.
The Holy Spirit works in us when we turn that desire to God. It is from within our hearts that we can be changed.
That is why Jesus went to the cross.
Let us rejoice more in this too great love of God!
