Genesis 3:5 "God knows that when you eat of it, your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."
God is a God who loves us from the beginning to the end.
God has given us freedom of choice.
God was prepared to take all the risks of the freedom of choice He gave us. But God cannot bear to see us suffer or be sad, so He shows us what happens when we choose the one who is not in His will.
Satan's temptations make us imagine that we can be like God and make it seem like a wonderful thing.
We often succumb to such temptations because we are self-centered, wanting to have God's power rather than the peace and joy of being with God.
Knowing who God is, as well as who we are, allows us to know our real, helpless selves, rather than our imaginary, ideal selves.
And I believe that we can truly accept God when we can honestly accept that we can do nothing on our own.
We should earnestly ask God to open our eyes to see the invisible God who is always working for our best.
