2 Timothy 3:1 "But realize that in the last days there will be difficult times."
When you read a verse like this, where does your eye stop?
The "end times"? The "difficult times"?
We tend to focus on these things, and when we do, our emotions move us.
"When will it end?"Will I be able to endure the difficulties?"
We are so anxious about the future that we let our fears grow inside us.
God gives us foreknowledge of future events.
Instead of telling us how to deal with them, God shows us the reality of the future so that we will not be stricken with anxiety.
We have been set free from sin by Jesus and given a new life as children of God.
Unless we renounce it, we are God's children.
We may feel as if we are defeated every day until God comes for us, but God has already won the victory over the world. We are being nurtured in God's love now so that we can fully believe that God is victorious in whatever situation we find ourselves in and that we are entrusted with that victory.
We end up in different places depending on what we look at and where we look.
God never rejects, ignores, or abandons those who come to Him.
Only the peace from God in our hearts is our defense and our weapon.
If we feel we do not have peace from God, we can ask Him for it.
Our God is the One who can change the "anxiety" in our hearts into "peace from God"!
