Proverbs 31:10-12. "Who finds a capable wife? A wife far more precious than a pearl. Her husband trusts her with all his heart. She is never short of earnings. She is
days of her life/ bring her husband good fortune, but not misfortune."
The wife's role is to her husband as his helper, his healer, his good understanding, his friend, his counselor, and his clown, not to mention his cook and housekeeper.
A wife's work is more invisible than visible.
God created man and woman.
I feel that they were created with very different values and perspectives to complement each other.
I believe that God created man and woman as partners who can appreciate their differences, understand each other, complement each other, support each other, rejoice together, and cry together.
In our mundane daily lives, we are learning God's love through training in such practices as patience, self-control, and self-sacrifice.
A wife like the one in today's scripture would be a wife who reflects God's love. But we must realize that we cannot do that by ourselves. This will cause us to look up to God and ask Him for what we lack, and it is because we look up to God that we can reflect Him.
Just as behind the great work of the husband is the work of the wife, and behind the work of the wife is the support of the husband, so behind our work is God's love, forgiveness, mercy, and His wisdom and power.
Let us praise God by sharing and rejoicing in the experience of His great power and profoundly humble work of God
